A modular brand system for the newly formed, female-led techno label, Spellbound.

PROJECT INFORMATION

Spellbound is a newly founded, female-led techno label from Berlin, created by the amazing Shaleen, formerly part of BPitch and founder of SURD. Known for her vinyl-only sets, she masterfully blends the nostalgia of the '90s with daring, modern soundscapes. When they approached us, we discussed the magic of the night, their analog approach to creating electronic music, and how to honor the heritage of Berlin's iconic techno scene. We embraced these values to develop a design system inspired by the essence of Berlin. To achieve this, we established three core principles: 1. Attitude of Berlin, 2. Traces of Berlin, and 3. Colors of Berlin, forming the foundation of our identity system. Usable like an analog collage, we created a library of over 50 graphic, analog, and 3D elements, which can be combined, overlaid, and mixed to produce bespoke compositions—easily extendable by other artists in the future. A strong, robust logomark, paired with a clean white canvas, sets the stage for all formats and content across both digital and analog applications.
